In 1984 Benje Graves formed the first Lifeline Ministry group in Juneau, Alaska. It didn’t take long before God began to impress upon him that there was something wrong with living for recording contracts and autograph signing, even if they were sharing the Gospel. In 1985 he moved to Southern Idaho to go to college. It was there, in 1986, that Benje married Michele and another Lifeline group was formed. This group eventually became the Lifeline Evangelistic team that has been traveling around the country preaching the Gospel for the last 18 years. Throughout that time the team has consisted of various people who were going through discipleship and participating in the ministry. We have seen thousands make commitments to the Lord and to God’s glory we have never charged money for a service. We bring a highly dedicated group of people in to minister and make all of our tapes and materials available on a donation basis. The Lifeline vision to reach others with the Gospel is continually expanding. Lifeline is a threefold ministry; outreach, discipleship, and fellowship. To this end we have the Lifeline evangelistic ministry, Vision Bible College, and Vision Bible Church. The Lord built this ministry around the simple yet profound reality that people need Jesus. Our goal from the beginning has been to bring the Gospel of Christ to people and to show that Gospel through our daily lives. We accomplish this through the Lifeline traveling evangelistic teams and through several discipleship ministries. In the eighteen years that the Lord has been building this ministry we have found many ways to touch lives with His truth, but His call has remained the same, to go to the hungry ones and see them filled with the life of Christ. Lifeline ministers regardless of the financial situation or the size of the group we are ministering to. We have never charged up front for CD's, literature, or services. In spite of the fact that many said the ministry could not survive this way, the Lord has continued to bless and give increase as we have served Him. We have remained committed to evangelism, missions work, personal discipleship and to training Christian leaders. Our commitment to reaching lives has led us to minister to many in prison and juvenile detention centers, to the poor in wealth and in spirit, to people with AIDS, to folks without a place to call home, and many who simply need Jesus. We have held revival services, concerts, crusades, camps, and various outreaches in churches, parks, and auditoriums all over the western U.S. and Canada. As the Lord leads we continue to add new staff and new outreaches.
